"You only get one chance to have the perfect wedding with the one you love and choosing the Alternative Quartet helped to make that a reality for Gillian and myself. I had the opportunity to first hear them live at an event at the Attorney General's office in 2008 and my interest was immediately captured by what was to me a unique experience in the Trinidad music scene. My then fiance and I took the opportunity to check them out together when they played at a bar on the Avenue early in 2009 and she was equally drawn in by the energy of the Quartet and their excellent repertoire, ranging from classic calypso to modern top 10 hits. They did not disappoint at the wedding. Many of our guests later told us that at the church they were impressed by the class of the Quartet's performance and at the reception many, including my bride and I, stopped dinner to hear them perform while a few people had to resist the strong urge to get up and dance.
